Born from a real problem
VulpaSoft was born from a simple observation: the best behavioral analytics tools — behavior maps, session replays, scroll maps — all require cookies, consent banners, and send data to US servers. In a post-Schrems II world, that's a legal liability.
We set out to build the tool we wanted to use: one that gives you the same powerful insights without compromising your users' privacy or your legal compliance. Every architectural decision — from the daily-rotating SHA-256 hash to the EU-only infrastructure — was made with privacy as the primary constraint, not an afterthought.

Why we built VulpaSoft
After the CNIL ruling against Google Analytics in France, and similar decisions in Austria and Italy, it became clear that the industry needed a privacy-native alternative for behavioral analytics — not just page view counting, but real UX insights like behavior maps and session replays.
The Schrems II ruling invalidated the EU-US Privacy Shield, making it legally risky to use any analytics tool that transfers data to the United States. Most behavioral analytics platforms — Hotjar, Clarity, FullStory — still rely on US infrastructure.
Existing tools either required complex consent flows (Hotjar), self-hosting (Matomo), or sent data to US servers (Clarity). None offered a fully managed, EU-only, cookie-free solution with behavior maps and replays included.
So we built one.
